Online Tutoring

Live one-to-one instruction over video, delivered by the same experienced special educators who teach in person. Online students follow the same individualized learning plan, use the same materials, and have progress measured with the same assessments. We work with students across Maine and New England.

How online sessions work

Sessions are live and one-to-one, not recorded lessons or software. Your child works directly with their tutor for the full session.
Every student starts with a skills assessment, a set of short tests that shows which skills are in place and which are missing, so instruction starts exactly where your child needs it.
Instruction follows an individualized learning plan, a written sequence of skills based on the skills assessment, the same way in-person tutoring does.
You need a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a quiet place to work. We handle the rest.
We can coordinate with your child's classroom teacher or IEP team, in public, private, and homeschool settings.

Across the 2025 LEAP summer cohort of 22 learners, students gained a mean of 2.5 grade levels in decoding, 2.0 in word recognition, and 1.9 in reading comprehension. We measure every student's progress with the same assessments we use to plan instruction.
